Well.... I was born and completed high school in Michigan. Most of my family lives back in Michigan so we try to get back and see everyone as often as possible... which with a ranch, is not often enough! I did my first year of college at Michigan State University and then transfered to the University of Wyoming in 1991. I still live in and love Wyoming! I graduated with a bachelors  degree in Rangeland Ecology and Watershed Management. I use my degree every time I walk out in my pastures!My love of animals and enjoyment of crafting have lead me to my current employment status. I enjoy raising alpacas because they are basically easy, gentle animals with compassionate manerism. I love walking among my animals and have them greet me with hums of recognition.... of course they would do the same for anyone carrying the grain bucket =) hee hee From owning alpacas, I am a crafter at heart so jumping into the fiber arts end of the animals was a natural step! I LOVE working with fiber. I love people sending me a bag of "stuff" off of their animal that they don't know what to do with and sending  them back roving to spin or yarn to knit! It is very gratifying to turn "stuff" into something!Alpaca fiber is so fun to work with. It is versital and many people don't realize that it can not only be spun but felted. As time wears on felting has become a huge passion with me. It is extremely free form and versital. I love the artistry involved with taking fiber from my animals and creating something  unique and functional. We offer workshops if anyone wants to learn how to felt.
