Critters, Leather & Fiber !!

We are located in Clearmont, Wyoming.  Our ranch has enough room for everyone (critters & kids!) and we hope to be able to further our enjoyment of both.

We are home to 4 kids, 9 horses, 40+ alpacas, 8 cats, 3 dogs, 5 llamas, 2 goats, 2 sheep, 2 peacocks, 1 emu, lots and lots of chickens, and two slaves (Wade and Linda).  If you don't believe.... check out our photo album ( Photos ) and see for yourself the crazy things we do!

Our herd loves to play in the fields and ravines out back.  They have 3-400 acres to run on and they do a lot of running.  We love our animals being out in a pasture setting because we believe they need lots of exercise.  The bonus to this is it helps cut down on toenail problems.  Most love to be hosed off in the summer and that becomes a favorite chore.  Fall brings the bounties of the garden which are quickly devoured. Winter is the time for feeding and lots of manual labor.  Spring is probably the best time at the ranch because it is the greenest time of year and the best for babies and riding!    

We strive for lots of color with fineness in our herd of alpacas.  Our farm conbines the coverage of the peruvian with the fineness of the chilean heritages.  It appears to create nice fleeces (see Alpacas page for what makes alpaca fiber so special?) for garmet production purposes along with animals that are nice to work with.

Our Fiber Mill is up and running.  We have some beautiful yarn, felt and rovings/batts, check out our Fiber Mill page for processing and our products pages for wonderful ranch produced products.

Our Leather Shop, SageRidge Leather, located in Buffalo, Wyoming is open.  Wade is in the shop 5 days a week for both retail Shopping and also leather repair for boots, belts, purses, chaps.... you name it, he can reapir it back to working order so you can use your items again!  Wade specializes in creating items like binocular cases and firearm holsters custom made to fit perfect with georgous hand tooling.

We also love to have visitors out to play at the Petting Zoo that we call SageRidge ranch, so if you get a chance feel free to stop by (or just leave us a message on the GuestBook page!) sometime and visit all of us!
